Sustainable Packaging Design Seminar

This 1st seminar about sustainable packaging design in Iran is hosted by Art University of Isfahan (Industrial Design Department). There has been concerns about the importance of futuristic aspects in packaging design that could lead solve current problems in human life and do not endanger future generations. Food security, water, waste and environment are amongst those.

While we know obviously that all these issues and concerns are as significant as the others, this seminar will cover aspects of sustainable packaging design which lead to less food waste. We believe that packaging could be either part of the problem or part of the solution. It totally depends on how we, as designers, care about it.

This seminar will take place on 20th May 2015. Our keynote speakers are as follow:

Design Challenge (SUSPACK)

A design competition will also take place which will be around sustainable packaging design. Candidates are supposed to design concept intuitive packages that cover aspects of sustainable design. The 1st competition aims to trigger and solve concerns around food waste and how sustainable packaging design could diminish food waste and help to a more sustainable future.
